Is the problem with pole dancing or the perception of pole dancing the reason minors should not do it?

[Disclaimer] There are thousands of links to pages from various sources, things appear on pages you were actively not looking for, but once your attention is caught, the aim of those who linked it, people view it; if it is provocative people might look more. For those who wonder how I came light of this material.—

While looking at something and on that news page was a link to this article, it got me to thinking, based off the conversation that was being batted around concerning children pole dancing even if for fun or exercise, is the fact that there is a pole that is the problem or the perception of what the pole represented that bothers people? Why not have that visceral action of kids boxing, or mix martial arts, especially girls? If they are doing it in the privacy of a gym why not use it for flexibility and exercise, I am sure you have to use quite a few muscle to pull some of those maneuvers off?
