Is there any way to reset windows xp so it's just like it was when it was first started up?

use memory restore and do a full restore.

Yes, use the Restore CD that came with XP and reboot your computer with the CD. Remember that this will cause all your files/programs/music/etc to be deleted, so you might want to backup those files before you do this.

that’s true i had to learn the hard way with my computer now it don’t work at all.

Your computer might have a software CD that came with it when you first bought the computer. If it did, it should have a custom install of XP that contains all the drivers you need for your computer, so that your computer will be exactly the same as how it was when you first bought it.

My Packard Bell came with a software restore disk that did just that. Have a look.
