What are some historic examples of a song recording, which could be recreated using modern technology?

Asked by gemmacastle (7points) December 23rd, 2019

For my assignment I’ve been tasked to select a track, and recreate an element of it (drums or guitar or vocals or bass ect) using modern technology. Preferably a track which has documentation surrounding it- I’m really stuck so any suggestions or stories of an element of a recording process would be great- thank you!

Listen to Bob Dylan’s Basement Tapes. If you listen closely, you can hear the buttons on his sleeve hit the body of the guitar. Try reproducing that.

This one.
I’d love to hear the end result.

Portions of Dark Side Of The Moon were played backwards. That could be cool.
