Nope.
But my father kind of is.

YES. Although if there is a severity index for this, then I am probably just in the Mild part of it. As someone with ADHD, the gym is usually the cure for my nut job days. 1hr. – 1hr 15min. is the maximum time I would stay. Sometimes only 45 mins. depending on the work out routine planned on that day.

Are you a Gym Rat Joshua?

According to your scale yes! I probably stay at the gym for 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day (lifting and cycling) Gym time is scheduled into my day… those days that I don’t go, I feel out of it! So in a way it’s an addiction, a good one though.

No, more like an anti-gym rat…...

wildflower- gyms are awesome! where else can you go where you have that much support for getting in shape… everyone there is working for the same goal!

Gyms are awesome although I think outdoor can be great too. I like running outdoors, doing my pullups and push ups outdoors. Wildflower, its ok, there are other places where you can stay in shape, i.e. outdoors, home, anywhere basically at your own convenience.

I just dont like gym sometimes because some people hang out at equipments chit chatting.

@joshua.: they’re all sweaty and smelly! If I was to do all that running/climbing, etc. I’d at least want to be getting somewhere and seeing some things along the way….......but the biggest reason is that I’m just incredibly lazy!

One of my favorite places is the local rock climbing gym… now THAT is a workout! Plus it’s totally fun. I guess the best thing to do is find something that you enjoy and get out and do it. Whether it be running outside, walking, rock climbing, playing basketball, or going to the gym

Indeed Joshua.

If you’re so inclined…..I’m more of a leisure rat, I guess. I like being outdoors, but don’t feel compelled to work up a sweat every time I go somewhere….I guess it just doesn’t appeal to me.

I love being outdoors too, which is why I’m not looking forward to the cold weather. ...unless I’m on the slopes, that might be the only exception

FrancisRude's avatar

Oh yeah, I love outdoors too! I think gym, outdoors can be a good variation. Its just your preference really.

Anti-Gym rat. But you can call me a mall rat. I’ve recently started going to the gym though and I actually enjoy It… Wouldn’t call it a hobby though.

Unfortunately no. I’m working on getting to that mental stage. If I make it there, then I’ll actually like what I see in the mirror on a daily basis.

I try to work out for about an hour to an hour and a half three times a week at my gym. I probably wouldn’t go at all if not for the really good magazines. Also, I’m getting abs! But it is far from an addiction, because I still have to talk myself into it.
