My gateway laptop needs a new battery. Where should I buy it?

Do I “need” to buy it from Gateway or are there other cheaper similar quality sources for batteries? BTW It looks like I do NOT have the Gateway model laptop that had its batteries recalled.

If your laptop is a Gateway then I’d keep the battery and replace the laptop.

Check NewEgg as they usually have computer parts on the cheap. Unless its proprietary. Then you may have to go through gateway.
