Velveeta has to be up towards the top of the list.

Twinkies (and its cousins – there are various Twinkie copycats) are also pretty fake.

Beyond Meat (fake meat) is processed and grown in a lab.

Things that imitate other things, especially ones with advertisements about how low in this or that they are. Low fat ice-cream, energy drinks/bars, fake milks, low-fat yogurt, low-fat dried Alfredo sauce come to mind. Also, fruit loops, box mac, and frozen chicken nuggets have to be up there. Most of the bread out there is pretty shit too.

@Smashley Even worse in Canada Fruit Loops are spelled Froot loops. Because of very little real fruit inside.

I don’t know but I try to buy things with no ingredient list other than items I know to be real food and safe. Pretty much, the list needs to contain foods rather than chemicals.

@RedDeerGuy1…or it could be because they’re generic and aren’t allowed to use “Fruit Loops”. They don’t have fruit.

LifeQuestioner's avatar

Aren’t Froot Loops (the real ones) spelled with a double o in the first word? I really thought they were in the US as well.

smudges's avatar

^^ HA! You’re right! They’re spelled Froot Loops!

Store brand “Oreo’ cookies have to be right up there.

Kraft Singles slices are not even called cheese, they are “processed cheese food”.
