Duotrigordle players: What do you think about the new solve assist option?

Asked by filmfann (52233points) January 14th, 2024

If you opt to use this, words where the solutions to each words are logically found are immediately submitted. This makes the game much faster, and prevents making wrong guesses to words you’ve actually solved.
I like it, but it feels like cheating.

I have not tried it yet. I’ll look at it later today.
I usually just throw down my first three starter words quickly and then work from there. That limits the best possible to +2, but shortens the game significantly and takes off the pressure.

I just tried it. 36 guesses +1. The game sure goes quickly – a bit too fast for my liking.
It does seem like cheating a bit. But , hey, this is for enjoyment so whatever makes you think, reduce stress, and feel good at the same time is okay.
I made the mistake of clicking the “Hide completed boards” option and things disappeared too quickly. I want to see the words. I believe my brain gets more out of it when Ii see the words spelled correctly.

Thanks for introducing the game. I quite like it, and I’ve long been tired of Octordle and below.

I got tired of all wordle-like games quite some time ago. The variations were fun but even those got old. I still used to play every night at midnight because my sister and I would then send each other our scores through Messenger to see how we did. But then she got disillusioned because she actually had a streak of 400 going and then one night she missed. And she hasn’t played since and that took the remaining bit of fun out of it for me. I’ve been playing Blossom, which is worth checking out. And I still like Connections.
