Are there any other Ask-It-Here refugees here?

I have outlived a number of Q&A sites and AIH seems to be the latest. The last I heard, it was going down for server upgrade, but it never came back up.

Is there anybody else here from AIH? You may remember me as gadfly. Do you know what happened? Did Dilbert decide that it was just not worth the expense?

I have been a member of Fluther for a short time and like what I have seen so far.
Be warned. Once I decide on a Q&A site, I am intensely loyal. Despite my advanced years, I plan on visiting here for as long as possible.

Fluther serves as a great refugee camp for other question sites and once you get used to the format, is very difficult to leave.

Many of us have come from other sites for one reason or another. Some sites seem to encourage stupid questions. Others seem to encourage infighting. You get here and it’s like, what? They have moderators who actually flippin’ MODERATE? You mean this isn’t some big corporation just in it for the money, but an honest-to-God collective of friends who created and run this site so people exchange ideas? You mean they remove stupid, redundant, and poorly written questions and tell people when they’re getting out of line BEFORE conflicts start?

I can’t say enough kind things about this place, although I was not an member of AIH.

I remember you, but I don’t know if you remember me. ;) I didn’t frequent anywhere much besides BrainFuse (Cerescape) after WH went down. I visited AIH once in a while, though. Nice to see you. :)
