all depends on what you want, this question is essentially asking “what’s the best car?”, it’s all dependable on taste and choice, i mean, what kind of material, protection and price range do you want etc ? and when you do know what you want, it’s better just to have a look at the online apple store for example and see what you want

At first I thought I might try invisibleshield but it I heard it wears out pretty quickly.

Otterbox is incredible, but they don’t have one available for 2nd gen ipod touch yet.

go to your local reseller and look at them. it really depends on what you want. Personally i think it destroys the experience and design of the iPods. And remember that the screen on your iPod can take a lot since it’s “Scratch Proof” so i’d consider using it as it is.

My iPod 1G has two annoying scratches on it (on the screen!) It’s not scratch-proof.

What type of iPod is it?

iPod touch (sorry)

Well, someone isn’t lucky i guess but most times the thing is that in those cases you get a scratch, the protector won’t do much good. (unless it’s a hard case thingy, but you can’t use that if you want to remain the touch functionality…)

Otterbox is a hard shell, yet retains touchscreen functionality. They have them for both gens of iPhone, and 1st gen iPod touch, maybe they’ll come out with one for you soon.

Well, it’s not hard in front of the screen…

Yeah, it is.
