What light bulb, for home use, lasts the longest?

Asked by ArchaicLion (103points) November 12th, 2008

I have a yard light that has burned every night for 13 years. The wiki says it’s lumen depreciation should have been 50% every 5 years but it’s unnoticeable if it has. These lights will burn you if they are too close to the ground, making it unsuitable for most home use applications.

CFLs don’t have a high lumen output, do you know of another bulb type?
