Flash and Xml web service problem...

Asked by manuel_alarcon (299points) December 3rd, 2008

Im working in ths flash app that reads xml from a web service… consulting the pages directly its ok, no problems,... but weird enough, when i browse the flash in explorer fails to log in, and fails getting the data right,... but, when i browse the app in firefox, enters ok and without any problem… its very weird, i downgraded the flash exporting version to 8, gave all the variables a unique name assuring none could cross, but its still misterious,.. i mean, reading the xml is pretty easy, if there was a problem with the xml itself it wouldnt load,... but it runs fine on FF, not in IE… i know i should give all the details, but i think that starting from the big picture and going closer may be clearer…

well,... just for the record,... the programmer enabled the application to refresh the cache on every request, and the problem dissappeared. simple. but it had me pulling my hair for days, going back and forth the flash, the xml and the last thing i’d think about was that it was something to do with the server. Go figure it out.
