What are your settings on the Ampeg SVT Classic?

Asked by dtone (36points) August 31st, 2007

I just got a new SVT-CL and was wondering how all you other folks have your settings. Please let me know what kind of music you play, bands you like, etc. Thanks for your input!

I have had a svt classic on the road for 15 yrs,, this will sound funny, turn the bass to 3–4 and the mids to 5.5 and the selecter to 800hz or the middle notch and tuen the treble to3.5,, heres why the svt puts out a slow tube compression which can sound muddy, if you don’t have your mids up higher than the bass and treble it won’t cut through the mix in a band situation, my sound man has toured and ran sound for iron maiden, kiss, and etc,, after he told me it was perfect with the band it will sound treblly bt itself but with the band, it will sound great
