What is this app?

Asked by queenzboulevard (2551points) December 5th, 2008

It’s something to do with iTunes. It shows album art on your desktop inside of a little cd case. Also this is either the same thing or something else: it’s the album artwork except it’s in your dock. Both looked like it was the current song playing in iTunes, not just random album art on your desktop. On Mactips.org there was a post called “What’s On Your Desktop?” and two people had it. The screenshots are gone from the site now, otherwise I would just upload a pic and not have to explain what it looks like.

Are you sure it was a Mac desktop and not some Linux Distro? there are many apps that easily do that for Linux.

Also, are you sure it was iTunes? I think Songbird and Amarok can do that on their own.

the app you’re after is called CoverSutra I think.

I use it myself and it is great!

Bowtie has a theme that displays the current song’s album art in a little cd case. It’s free, too.
