if you have a mac, why even bother, preview can do it all without any installation required

The one thing Preview can’t do well is fill out form-PDFs. Then again, Adobe Reader doesn’t do that well either.

I just found a different computer that had Reader on it. I dislike Adobe. Also, I left a word out of my question description. Sorry about that.

Preview does everything adobe reader does without all the bloat. If you want a slower version of preview then go ahead in install the Adobe reader.

For your original question, there is an offline installer for Adobe reader.

Adobe Reader 8

This program I use is called Adobe Reader Lite. Some guy stripped the application.

Also, another sleek PDF viewer is called Foxit Reader.

Yea, I’d vote for that. I also use foxit.

Is there a reason why it wouldn’t?
