How many companies are sitting on more than a billion dollars in cash (net of debt)?

Asked by saar (21points) February 11th, 2009

I have looked on a number of sites and can’t seem to find an answer. I am trying to figure out how many companies are left that have over a billion in cash. Any ideas on how to find this information?

I heard that a lot of big companies borrowed as much as htey could with the first half of the bail out and are just sitting on it waiting to see what happens. You will probably never know how many.
