Duck Noodle Soup - How do you make the soup part?

Duck Noodle Soup is a staple at many Thai restaurants. My friends and I would like to be able to make this at home. What spices go into the soup, or are there instant soup mixes available for it someplace, like there are for other Asian soups?

There are a number of recipes for it if you google. Here is one that uses a combination of packaged noodle seasoning mix (probably available from Asian grocery stores) and other seasonings.
