What's a good tutorial on how to Register New Accounts on a Web App?

I have to create a form to register new accounts and add them to a database that runs Java EE. Any good tutorials on how to start.

http://java.sun.com/javaee/6/docs/tutorial/doc/ This may be a good place to start. Once at that page, search for Figure 25–3 Form-Based Authentication. I think thats what you’re asking, not sure.
