Hooking/Charging iPhone in a LexusIS250?

Asked by rawpixels (2668points) June 11th, 2009

Hi. I just bought a LexusIS250 and it has an auxiliary jack to hook up an iPod/iPhone. Can someone tell me what kind of cable I need to hook my iPhone up, so I can listen to the music that’s on it through my car’s stereo. Also, can anyone recommend a good car charger for the iPhone?

Call the parts dept. for your local Lexus dealer. If it’s an option on their car, they’ll know what you need to get it going.

Griffen makes a pretty darn good iPhone charger—you can get it at the Apple Store.

If its a 3.5mm minijack (ie a headphone connector which is ) you need a 3.5mm minijack to 3.5mm minijack stereo cable. Plug one end into the headphone socket of the ipod and the other end into the car and your car and off you go. You can probably pick one up for a couple of bucks.

I think there is the 3.5mm jack, so you can use @Lightlyseared advice for the low cost method. For the fancy features, check this out:
