Who here has seen Sacha Baron Cohen's movie "Bruno"? What did you think of it?

It seems like people either liked it or hated it. I saw it with my boyfriend and we both loved it. It was the most outrageous movie I’ve ever seen. I’m really not easily offended nor are sexual things the types of things that freak me out. Excessive violence makes me cover my eyes, but not sexual things. It was designed to shock, and yes, parts of it startled me a bit, but I wasn’t “offended” at all.

Personally, I did not think it made fun of gays either, because that is another common response. Yes, it mocked the stereotypes, but the point was to exaggerate.

But you know what offended me about it? The fact that so many people in that boxing ring were disgusted by the idea of two men kissing. That was offensive. Not the penises and sex and what not. Anyway, it’s certainly not for everyone.
