Why is Tetris for the Nintendo DS so expensive?

Asked by miltonandmichele (19points) January 11th, 2008

I bought my wife a Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas and Tetris is her favorite game of all time. When I went to buy it, I found that it’s no longer on the shelves and the game is commanding prices approaching $75 or more on ebay. Why is the game not sold in stores and why is it so expensive???

its probably just hard to find and people on ebay know this, so they are trying to make some extra money. its in demand, so people will sometimes pay whatever it takes to get stuff.

I don’t agree with the tatics, personally, but there’s nothing we can do about it. My wife and I are waiting for Wii’s to be in stock again, so I know how you feel. The game will be on shelves again if it is that popular, but I’m sure no one will be able to tell you when.

Weird. I would have given you mine if I still had it.

Not the same, of course, but you can get Tetris Worlds for GBA for a reasonable price on amazon (and elsewhere, I assume) and it’s compatible.

Tetris DS is probably the best version of Tetris ever made, so it’s definitely the one to have if you can find it. This happened with it before but they reprinted it. You may have to be patient and wait for them to reprint it.

I don’t have the answer either but around Christmas I saw that and I couldn’t figure out what the deal was.
