Why did Shane Victorino get thrown out of todays baseball game?

Victorino was tossed after he waved his arms and jumped up and down in protest of a pitch that Phils reliever Rodrigo Lopez threw to Wes Helms that was called a ball in the top of the seventh inning.

Speaking as a professional umpire here…waving your arms at the umpire is immediately interpreted as a physical threat, and is one of the quickest ways to be sent to the parking lot.

Umpires eject anyone who debates their call on balls and strikes.

Technically, any questioning of judgment calls is grounds for ejection. Balls, strikes, safe, out…anything but rules interpretation is not open for discussion.
