What's a good course book on graphic design?

Through work experience I iknow graphic work but would like to read a course book

Might be a little lighter than what you’re looking for, but The Non Designer’s Design Book by Robin Williams is pretty good.

I think graphic design is something which needed practice of making lots of designs reading books can’t get you much knowledge of it until you do it practically.
