Should there be an explanation when questions disappear to be "edited to be made more appropriate"?

Twice in the last 20 minutes, a question I answered (and got multiple GA’s on) disappeared with the ever-mysterious “This question is currently being edited to be made more appropriate” notification. Does that annoy anyone else? I have no idea what the mods found inappropriate about either question. One was about legal courtroom procedures, the other I don’t even remember already. Couldn’t there just be a quick message from the mods saying what was wrong with the question that prompted its removal?
