What size diamond is this?

Asked by Facade (22845 points ) December 2nd, 2009

I’d like to buy my man a new pair of earrings, but I’m not sure of the size of the karat I should know these things. He’s wearing them in my avatar pic.

Could you take a look and see if you know what size those are please?

I’m thinking one karat, but I’m not sure.

Edit: I didn’t read the entire question first. My bad. I can’t tell from that picture, but I would guess 1K as well.

This chart might help.

@Likeradar It says the circles vary by screen size. How do I know how big my screen is?

Looks like 1ct.

Why would he put away a diamond of that size?

Facade's avatar

@faye I don’t understand; what do you mean put away?

faye's avatar

You said you wanted to buy him new earrings.

Facade's avatar

@faye Oh. Yes. Well, that’s not important :)

@Facade: I accept all discards. (what’s the matter with the honkers he is wearing?)

I’m not gonna say and you can’t make me :P

they are .50 or .75 points each. now that I look at the larger pic I am going with .75.

Likeradar's avatar

@Facade Good point. :/ Although it does give the mm length, if you can find a sneaky way to measure them.

Narl's avatar

I say they are about .75

Facade's avatar

@Likeradar He never takes them out!
@ the rest of you. I’m thinking .75 as well. Maybe he’d like bigger though…

avvooooooo's avatar

Less than 1k. I’d go with .75. :)

@Facade: If he never takes the original earrings off and you give him another .74 ct.; might he fall over from the weight?
