Sending Packages w/out collecting personal info?

Asked by windex (2932points) December 8th, 2009

I recently started a group/network and want to send out “welcome” packages to the first x members who joined.

This is an online group, so I don’t want anyone to think that I’m trying to collect their personal data (ex. Shipping address) or anything like that.

Is there is Service I can use that does this? The “gifts” can actually be purchased from Cafepress or zazzle or a smiliar site, so I don’t have to physically have them with me. Is there a “Send a Gift” feature where I can buy the customized items and get some sort of passcode I can send them that they can use to get it???

Tnx

Hmmm. Just brainstorming, I’ve never tried this, just throwing out ideas to further discussion.

You could put the stuff on Cafe Press and paypal them money to cover the purchase.

Does Paypal have something coupon codes. Items could have normal prices, but members could enter a code to get a heavy discount.

Hmm, perhaps if you set-up a marketplace on Amazon and get them to add the “welcome package” to their Amazon Wishlist you could possibly do it that way.

Yes, there are many such sites. I found them by using Goodsearch.com which donates to my favorite charity every time I do a search and typing sending anonymous gifts in the search box. The ones I found were about not letting the receiver know who the sender is, but it works both ways.
