can one really compare these two things? The itouch seems like its in a whole different playing field than a psp.

i thought people stopped buying psp’s years ago

I have a modded PSP so download all the games, wouldnt part with it, but quite fancy the Itouch too, why not buy both? :0)

@yoyoo29 How do you modded PSP?

Depends what you want it for. Games are better on psp but everything else is better on itouch. Browser is better and it’s easier to put music and videos onto it aswell.

@scotsbloke ehhh psp games really arent that great though. I have one, i really only use it for homebrew games, emulators, and little apps. It is nice, but really fails in comparison to an itouch.

@yoyoo29 What apps do you have?

@uberbatman – see, I’ve never had an itouch so am used to the PSP, like I said though, would like one, PSP is fine for a quick blast here and there IMO

@scotsbloke ahhh gotcha. Yea my psp has pretty much been reduced to a universal remote lol.

its quite fun to go to best buy, turn the volume up on all the tvs at once and then change the channel to a static one and watch everyone go crazy cause they have no clue wtf just happened :P

Psp is for playing games. That’s it.

iPod touch only does everything

An iPod Touch and a PSP can do some of the same things, ie; wifi/Internet, and you can listen to music. But you can’t play games in iPod that you can play in PSP. I’d go with the iPod.

can i search on the web on psp?

El_Cadejo's avatar

@yoyoo29 yes, but the browser is a piece of junk.

iPhone and NDS. Seriously, the PSP has about 6 games worth playing and almost all of them are reboots, remakes and shit like that. The only thing that makes it worth it is cracking it so you can play old PSX games on it. I have both a PSP and a DS and i have to tell you, the PSP has been gathering dust since this summer when i finished Persona 3. It’s a good console but it has been mishandled a lot and it has rampant piracy issues because sony acted like a bunch of pricks and decided to remove the homebrew capabilities from it, making all the homebrewing community coalize towards breaking every prtoection it had.
