Are you required to wear seat belts in a taxi?

I know the seatbelt law is different from state to state and sometimes between cities. where you live, if you are riding in a taxi, are you required to wear a seat belt? if so, is it enforced?

I dont think it is in Tennessee. if it is it is not enforced in nashville.

In Québec it isn’t, as it’s the driver’s job to maintain a secure drive. Which is kinda lame if you ask me, not only because anything could happen no matter how good a driver one might be, but because Québec has the worse drivers in the history of Canada lol.
