What's a good camcorder for under $300?

Asked by CryoCinema715 (9points) February 28th, 2010

I’m looking to make a movie with my friends. It’s going to mostly be shot in the evening and early night, and I’d like it to be good quality picture. I don’t know much about cameras, so I need some advice. The picture doesn’t have to be insanely perfect, just nice to watch. What’s a good camera for under $300 that could give me that? Over $300 is ok, but that would really be a stretch considering my lack of money. I want to shoot digitally. Could someone recommend a good editing software as well?

Could you put the question in the detail, and just ask for advice on camera software/moving-making/cameras?

For your price range just get a good camera with video capability, and some high capacity storage disk..

Lot’s of advice on this already on Fluther. Do a search or consider one of the Sibling questions that appear on the lower right of your screen.
