How can I email a mp3 file from a music cd of mine using my mac?

Do I need to rip it? What type of software is free to use? I want to share the sheet music and sound file so my band mates can practice before the rehearsal?

Yeah, you’re gona have to rip it. If you want good software, there’s always download.com, softpedia.com, and sourceforge.net. I don’t know too many mac software sites as I’ve never used a mac.

You can rip it with iTunes

If you specifically want an MP3, change the Import Settings, by default it will make and AAC file.

There’s an Import Settings button on screen when a CD is inserted.
