How can I explore my iPod touch on my computer?

yeah I guess the proper terminology is “disk mode” (you can do it on most other iPods) but apple disabled it for the itouch because they didn’t want users messing with internal files. So far I haven’t found a way around it, I don’t even know if there is one.
