How do I do a bulk download from someone else's Picasa web account?

Asked by metadog (378points) April 24th, 2010

Hi! My sister-in-law shared a web-based Picasa album with me from her wedding. While I could easily download one image at a time, I am hoping that there is some way to do them all in bulk as there are over 300 images. Do you know of any techniques, software or web sites that could help with this? Thanks!!

Great question, I have had this in the back of my mind for a while, you motivated me to look it up.

Download an entire album:
1. From the gallery, click the album you’d like to download.
2. From the Download menu above your photos, select Download to Picasa.
3. In Picasa, if you’re not signed in to your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums, you’ll be prompted to do so.
4. In the window that appears, click the Download button.

Albums downloaded from your own account will appear in the ‘Web Albums’ collection, while albums downloaded from friends and family will be visible in the ‘Downloaded Albums’ collection. All albums download from Picasa Web Albums are saved to your computer to the following location:

* Windows: My Documents\My Pictures\Downloaded Albums
* Mac: Pictures\Downloaded Albums
