What song lyrics do you find inexplicably strange?

I was at the grocery today and they had the oldies radio station on the sound system. I heard a song with these lyrics:

One less bell to answer.
One less egg to fry!
One less man to pick up after.
I should be happy,
But all I do is cry!

I laughed out loud. “One less egg to fry”?

Oh, Guinevere! What kind of a lyric is that? The rest of the song is pretty good, but that “egg” line just cracked me up right in the pasta aisle. And at the end of the tune, it’s sung over and over. It strikes me as an odd thing to sing.

I looked it up, and it’s a Burt Bacharach/Hal David song popularized by The Fifth Dimension back in 1970. I’ve read that it was used on the US show Glee this year, as well.

What songs have some lyrics that, to you, just seems odd and strange compared to the rest of the song?
