Should I file my LLC with Legal Zoom instead of dealing with my state directly?

Asked by Ltryptophan (12091points) June 7th, 2010

I know they will act as my agent and a couple of other things. Is that necessary? Should I just go file my LLC on my own, and be my own agent?

LLC stands for Limited Liability Company, right?

Legal Zoom is just an easier way to go about the same thing. You can probably do it thought your state for cheaper but you will be dealing with the state. With Legal Zoom you are paying for convenience I think.

I did it throught my state. It was easy…I will be my own agent! A person who hires himself as his lawyer, has a fool for a lawyer…and other such wisdom ignored…
