Is buying external speakers out of the question? Other than that, we’re talking about messing with system settings, which will most likely blow a speaker. I messed around with fan speeds & broke a fan.
I suggest external speakers & if you want more than stereo, buy a surround sound setup with the Griffin FireWave.

The limit is there for a reason. If it is too loud the speakers will blow and because you messed with the laptop the warranty becomes void and you will have no volume. Maybe buy an ipod stereo? You get bass that a laptop dosent give that way.
