Will you help me figure out how many sq yards of carpet I need AND what I could expect to pay for it?

We found the house of our dreams. They accepted our offer, and we’re suddenly having to bust a move on the floors in this house so we can get it on the market. It couldn’t come at a worse time financially but we had no idea we were going to be moving until two weeks ago. But….our Realtor is pushing us hard to get it done ASAP. We just finishing up laying the vinyl in the kitchen and laundry room. But I need to get some areas carpeted…

OK, I have a dining room, 10 X 16, stairs 11 X 4 (16 stairs 18’’ deep, 8’’ tall) and a hall way that is 6 X 4.

How much carpet do we need, and what’s a decent to lower price end? We will be laying it ourselves.
