Is there a way to browse questions by category?

Asked by crazyivan (4501points) September 7th, 2010

I’m an expert in a number of strange unrelated fields, but clearly navigating Fluther isn’t one of them yet. Is there an option that allows you to search unanswered questions by keyword?

You can browse the Topics section on the lower right hand side of your screen. Or you can Custom Search on the top right hand side of your screen. I’m not sure you can search for unanswered questions by keyword. You might just have to browse the questions until you come across one. Hope that helps. Welcome to Fluther.

If you click on a keyword you get all questions tagged with that word. Or you can type in http://www.fluther.com/topics/xxx/ where xxx is your chosen keyword or topic.

The only way to find unanswered questions (in any topic) is to click on one of the main tabs (General, Social, etc), and then click on the “Orphans” button. That will take you to all unanswered questions in that Section. As far as I know, there’s no way to search Orphans by topic. The good news is that there probably aren’t that many Orphans to browse through. Most of them are very specific technical questions, so if that’s one of your fields of expertise, you’re in luck!
