Why are some monkey's butts red?

I see monkeys with red butts. Why?

It’s a secondary sexual characteristic and helps to attract mates (and not just their butts). In chimpanzees, the anogenital swelling and coloration of females indicates breeding status.

I don’t know, but baboons have very red butts.

I guess it’s just genetics.
