Why does myspace shut off when I try to login?

Asked by toddelder16 (8points) March 28th, 2008 from iPhone

A soon as I log into myspace and it is about to finish loading safari closes on my iPhone. Can anyone help? When I first got the phone I could use normal myspace fine.

It’s an issue with the iPhone’s Safari browser itself. I did the search for you, Google search

I’ve been having similar issues. I think it’s a problem with Myspace’s Mobile version which I wish I could just opt out of. But, it automatically goes to the web version now, which sucks. I think the browser and myspace just need to get the bugs worked out.

Google is a god. Everyone really needs to understand how to search with it. I was pheening for MySpace and was getting really annoyed that there was no way around the mobile version of myspace (which is buggy as all hell and so ugly). After 5 minutes on Google, I found there IS a way to beat the auto relocate. Just type in the following address exactly as it appears. http://home.myspace.com

Tada!

Nice! Thanks for that tip, luminous! We should try that, Todd. I am going to right now!

but just so you know, the browser WILL still randomly close bc its an issue with safari on the iPhone. It seems to be a caching issue, once the browser receives too much data (I.e. Pics, text), it seems to crash. Its across the board, I’ve had this happen to me with all graphic intensive websites. Or it could even be a glitch with the way the browser handles certain javascript, java, or XML.

I would suggest asking Tom, but he’s in Iraq now. Just kidding. I hope you’ve got it fixed.
