What Mixed Drinks Do You Suggest?

Asked by alive (2953points) August 13th, 2008

I’m tired of ordering the same ol’ same ol’

I like all kinds of drinks (wine, beer, and liquor).

I would like to know of some mixed drinks I can order at any bar…Perhaps something blue!

Ones I like so far are apple-martinis, gin and tonic, white russians, amaretto sours and every once in a while an extra dirty martini.

not so much a cosmo fan, and i have had some woes with vodka, other than that, anything goes.

I also really like a shot called a “cookie monster.”

so have at it, i need suggestions soon for my next outing!

You can never go wrong with a Bull Blaster (not neccessarily called this). It’s Red Bull and Jagermeister mixed taken as a shot (or you could order a double!).
Vodka & cranberry juice is good too and hey it’ll protect you from UTI’s at the same time!

Dirty vodka martini on the rocks. Shaken.

It sounds like you like sweet drinks, how about a Long Beach Cocktail ( tequilla, rum, vodka, gin, triple sec, sweet and sour mix and cranberry juice). For a blue drink try a Blue Hawiian (blue curacao, light rum, pineapple juice and cream of coconut) or a Blue Margarita ( blue curacao , tequila, and lime juice blended). For a shot drink try a Lemon Drop.

Long Island Iced Tea. Those will keep you happy.

Try a buttery nipple. It’s a shot made from baileys and buttersctoch schnapps. Or a caramel apple, mad with apple pucker and buttershots. For a cocktail, iIve always love Malibu bay breezes.

Since it’s the summer, I haven’t had a sip of alcohol without plenty of lime around. Try a gimlet, a daquiri (a real one), or a mojito. Hurry! Summer’s almost over!

You can’t get these just anywhere, but a basil martini is incredible (lemon juice, vodka, simple syrup shaken with basil leaves). Maybe mix one up for a night in.

Bourbon and Dr. Pepper. It’s yummy.

Actually, bourbon with chocolate-mint soda, but you might not be able to get that anywhere that’s not my apartment. (But it is SO GOOD.)

@tonedef I don’t believe it. I just made a basil martini last weekend. I was searching for recipes to use up my summer abundace of basil and ran across the recipe on someones blog. It was really good. :)

I say try a Caipirinha it is a distant cousin of Mojito, they are so simple to make and tasty.

1 whole lime juiced
2 1/2 oz Cachaca (distilled sugar cane)
2 TSP of Superfine Sugar

Muddle your lime and superfine sugar in a glass, add the Cachaca, add ice and stir.

I like to just juice the lime first and add the sugar and Cachaca to it. Makes it easier than muddling.
