How's the backpacking in May on Kuaii?

I have heard of an incredible 10-mile hike on Kuaii's Nepali coast. I'll be there around May 10, the end of the rainy season. Rumor has it that it has to be a little dry for some time to be able to do the hike comfortably. True? Is it super hard core? is it worth it if it's wet? (it's on the coast, you go up and down and up and down tropical ridges, arriving at a spot you can only get to by foot, waterfalls...i don't know the name of the trail but i think if you've been there you'll know what i'm talking about.)
