Should I be considering visiting a Audiologist?

When I was 5ys old my parents found out that I was born with severe hearing loss most likely since birth. Now at 22 I work on phones & often get pain in my good ear (right ear). I keep wondering that maybe I should be going to see an Audiologist. Mum has mentioned it a few times by saying that maybe the technology has advanced since I was a child & that maybe now they could have hearing aids that will give me hearing. Just over a year ago I did have a week where I couldn’t hear however my previous supervisor at work was a quiet talker & all I could see was her mouth moving so I just put that down to my ear being blocked as I could still hear when people spoke loud. Should I be seriously considering going to an Audiologist or leave it until I am having serious problems? Any help much appreciated.
