Would Kindle be good for technical books?

I have a lot of pdf files that I have downloaded from the Web that could be turned into files appropriate for Kindle. The files are mostly on math and I was wondering if a Kindle would be suitable. I am concerned that the smaller page sizes would make following diagrams difficult.
