Is Facebook selling your private information?

Facebook is again under scrutiny for selling or giving away your personal Facebook information. At least 25 “outside” companies have been forwarded your information, once you click onto one of their advertisements on Facebook. Have you noticed popups appearing now, that were never there before on your computer? Facebook may be to blame. Question: Has Facebook violated their own rules and regulations, governing thier own site and the secrecy of your personal information?
