What different set of rules do you have for different family members and why?

My husband and I don’t see eye to eye on this one topic.
I think its ok for us to help or take care of our elderly parents but I don’t ever want my own children to ever have to take care of me when I am old.
I know in my case it is pride.
But it got me wondering, what else do we change our rules and why?
