Did you see the story of Jane Goodall on Sixty Minutes recently?

Thought it was a wonderful story of a real lady devouting her life to the study of chimpanzees.
My question, why would a person do this? She is denying her chance for love, family, etc. Sixty Minutes never asked that question.
