What was with this toilet?

I went into a Mapco Convenience Store to use the bathroom. After finishing, I looked down to discover the flushing lever was on the right side of the toilet tank, instead of the left. Question: Was this one toilet just a fluke? The toilet flushing lever has always been on the left, so was this one toilet just an odd ball?
