Will you all please join me in a collective sigh of relief?

We were questioned by CPS; a lady came to our home and interrogated us. She also took our oldest daughter into a room alone and recorded an interview. That was almost 2 weeks ago. This past week, they called our various references and the teacher of our oldest daughter and asked a bunch of questions. We’ve been waiting for random visits to start or for a phone call saying everything looks okay.

We just got a letter in the mail today, stating that the alleged abuse/neglect has been ruled out and the investigation is now closed! It says there will be no more CPS involvement with our family!

Not that we had anything at all to hide, just knowing who they are and what they do and having them in my home and questioning my family and friends… it was stressful.

I can breathe again!

And my little one’s follow-up appt with the neurologist is tomorrow… can’t wait to see the results of the repeat CT.
