Is it sort of lame for someone to answer a question here with a link to an answer?

I mean just a link. “Here look for yourself” Does it seem lazy? I mean most of the questions asked here could be googled and get decent information but isn’t it part of the fun to hear it from each other? It doesn’t happen much but I have noticed it from time to time.
