Arguments between firstborn daughters and mothers?

My older sister and my mother argue all the time, about everything. My best friend is the same way with her mother, and she’s the firstborn. My aunt (firstborn) was the same way with my grandmother, and I can think of multiple other instances where this is the case.
Is this coincidence, or is there something actually to it?
