Things to bring to an uncharted island?

If you were to be sent to a deserted island that contained a convenient food source and nothing else, who and what would you bring? You have the option of bringing only 3 people and 3 separate items. The food source would sustain you and the other 3 people you bring. The 3 items cannot be anything that could possibly help you off the island in anyway whatsoever. What and who would you bring; why?
